Duxby Levy

Beltrami Area ProjectThe United States Army Corps of Engineers planned, designed, and constructed the Duxby Levee Project with cooperation from the Roseau River Watershed District (RRWD). It was constructed on the south side of the Roseau River approximately ten miles northwest of the City of Roseau and was completed in 1993. It consists of approximately 6 miles of earth levees and road raises. The landward side of the levee is drained by a combination of drainage channels and Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) outlets through the levee which have flap gates on the riverward side.  Since the completion of construction, the RRWD has maintained the levee and outlets.
